PRINCETON, NJ, August 12, 2009 - HP Solutions, Inc., a Princeton, NJ-based IT training solutions provider in the public and private sectors, has been selected as one of the “top 100 women-owned businesses” and “top 100 diversity-owned businesses” in New Jersey by DiversityBusiness.com, the nation’s largest organization of diversity-owned businesses.

The awards were presented to Laura Lovell-Scercy, founder of HP Solutions, at DiversityBusiness.com’s 2009 Annual National Multicultural Awards Conference, which brought together entrepreneur-owned businesses and the Fortune 500 companies for the ceremony held at Disney's Contemporary Resort in Orlando, Florida.

Launched in 1999, DiversityBusiness, with over 46,000 members, is the largest organization of diversity owned businesses throughout the United States. DiversityBusiness provides goods and services to Fortune 1000 companies, government agencies, colleges and universities. DiversityBusiness provides research and data collection services for its members.

Pool of 650,000 Candidates

HP Solutions was selected for dual DiversityBusiness.com awards from a pool of more than 650,000 eligible candidates. Past awardees have gone on to win multimillion dollar contracts from Fortune 100 companies and government agencies. HP Solutions is the only IT training firm to win dual honors this year.

The market for IT training is growing, aided by government stimulus funds. U.S. organizations spent $134 billion on employee learning and development in 2007, according to the American Society for Training and Development. All too often, however, IT end-user training is the last consideration for new system implementation.

Bottom-line benefits of software upgrades are lost if end-users fail to understand or embrace the new technology. To be successful, companies must determine their training requirements early on. A scalable end-user training strategy ensures the cost-effective and timely deployment of systems and guarantees higher adoption among end-users.
